BORAT (2006)

How can something so wrong feel so right? Just one of the questions you are bound to ask if you decide to make the leap of faith and watch this film. Kazakhstan's favourite TV journo decides that a trip to the "U, S and A" is just what his country needs so he heads off with his trusty producer, Azamat. Absolutely hilarious; the Pamela Anderson stalking, the cheese-eating, the ‘running of the Jew', a Pamplona-style event in Borat's village, the gypsy-tear-collecting, the rodeo crowd cheering Bora find out more...

ED TV (1999)

An intelligent media satire, sadly obscured by the brilliant "Truman Show", though in truth this is a completely different animal, with a lot more laughs. By nature a laid back loafer, Ed basks in his new celebrity status, until it starts to affect everyone else around him. With his girlfriend banished from the show, and skele find out more...

Great teen comedy as über-bitch Kimberly coerces two other girls into a sex harrassment case against an English teacher she wants revenge on. There's great dialogue, snappy lines and some wonderful characters in this not sexually inexplicit Heathers, Election, Mean Girls type flick. Very dark and very twisted. find out more...

A Generation X movie about a group of friends who have just left college and come face to face with the growing horror that society expects them to be wage-earning, responsibile adults. Stranded together on a desert island by a storm, engaged townie journalist Heche and grizzly old pilot Ford fall to the inevitable bitching and bickering you'd expect, swiftly followed, naturally enough, by the indignant realisation that they've actually Got The Hots for each other. Some very witty dialogue and slapstick moments played with great timing from Heche and Ford. Predictable, easy watching with some great laughs. find out more...
SOAPDISH (1991)

U.S soap opera "The Sun Also Sets" has all the necessary ingredients to top the ratings - bronzed beach bums, power crazed women, sex scandals, dodgy business deals and murder. But the ludicrous plot lines have got nothing on the behind the scenes antics of the cast and crew! Farcical fun. find out more...

Andy Sachs has landed a job that most of those interested in such things would kill for, she's the assistant to legendary (and legendarily tyrannical) New York fashion editor Miranda Priestly; but as Andy struggles to keep pace with the outrageous demands of her boss she's in danger of losing sight of what's really important to her. "The Devil Wears Prada" is a comedy very much in the same vein as the Bridget Jones franchise so anyone expecting satire will be sorely disappointed, though it is pe find out more...
