Alice works in the local school of a small town in Wisconsin, she is a firm, opinionated woman and the locals do not find it easy to warm to her rather brittle character. When a terrible tragedy takes place Alice finds herself on the brink of breakdown, but it is only when she is accused of a terrible crime against the children she cares for that the horror becomes complete. A Map Of The World is a searing drama which poses a number of thought provoking social questions and which is impeccably performed.
