Penny Wise is one of the best telephone salesmen in the business, and when he gets recruited by the king of shady deals it would seem his financial future is set; But Penny is a guy with moral principals and the more he begins to question the validity of what he's selling, the closer to a fall he comes. Prime Gig is a well acted and more realistically bleak drama than say 'Boiler Room' but the scripts determination to paint Penny as a nice bloke seems like a pointless exercise, and though this is still pretty good, it would have carried more punch if Penny's character was an amoral tosser.
