As Annie (Blanchett) begins to get visions of the ravaged body of a local girl (Go's Katie Holmes) who has gone missing. As the visions intensify it becomes clear that she is the town's only hope or she's next! With a stellar supporting cast including Keanu Reeves, Giovanni Ribisi, Greg Kinnear and Hilary Swank and compelling performances by Blanchett and the often dishevelled and de-clothed Holmes The Gift brings sinister and eeriness back to the realm of thrillers.
