Harry Hearst, a wealthy and well respected lawyer in Puerto Rico, is called in by his old friend the chief of police to answer a few routine questions about the murder of three young girls. Once at the police station however Harry finds himself under intense scrutiny, as it becomes clear he is not there to help, he is the prime suspect. Under Suspicion is something of a disappointment, the film is too stage bound and the cat and mouse dialogue between the two men is neither clever enough or tense enough to keep you gripped for its duration, a classy cast slightly wasted.
