Plot

A spaceship crashes on a distant and deserted planet, the ten survivors are an eclectic group, each one fulfilling the horror/thriller stereotypes; coward, mean spirited git, self sacrificing martyr, monosyllabic brooding anti-hero, cute kid, etc, etc; But the real stars of the piece are the ravenous beasties that come out after dark. Will the humans live to see sunrise and will the dark and dangerous figure amongst them become their reluctant saviour. Pitch Black is not an original Sci-Fi chiller, but it's stylish and tense, with some good special effects and a convincing arse-kickin' moody dude in the shape of Vin Diesel.
