J is just an average geezer whose well chuffed when he pulls a tasty blonde, but this unusual event signals the end of J's unassuming existence. Next morning said blonde is lying in his flat brutally murdered, the police have him pegged as the one responsible and there are no end of seriously dodgy characters who have suddenly taken an interest. The Criminal is a tight, classy little British thriller, that makes good use of the well worn formula of naive and unlikely hero up the proverbial creek minus the proverbial paddle.
