Four men, the best pilots of their era are destined to become the first men in space until NASA decides to send up a chimp instead. Nearly half a century later they get another opportunity when an antique Russian satellite suffers a potentially lethal systems failure that only they are still trained to deal with. Space Cowboys is a nicely done buddy, buddy movie, frequently funny and suitably dramatic towards the end.
