Jet Li's first headlining state side movie, and while it has an impressive budget you can't help feeling they've sold the poor lad out; Li's undeniable skills are wasted in this generic story of revenge, using a needless and obvious amount of 'fly by wire' what could have been an atmospheric and hard-arsed martial arts flick turns into a humourless sub-Jackie-Chan affair.
