Michael Lynch is a criminal, he has class, ingenuity and a knack for "getting away with it"; He has everything he wants, good mates, a loving family, respect, but what he increasingly craves more than anything is fame and celebrity, a dangerous desire for an already high profile criminal that the police would love to incarcerate. Ordinary Decent Criminal is a pacey comedy, thriller, with an excellent cast, if a slightly lacklustre script. Perhaps also rather too cosy a depiction of a man who at the end of the day is a thief and a murder.
