Following on from his 'Twenty Four 7' Shane Meadows keeps the same setting for this story, the rundown and oppressive estates of his native Nottingham. A stranger helps out two young lads who are best mates and next door neighbours, his initial act of kindness however soon proves to have a darker self-serving purpose, and the boys' gratitude and respect for their new found adult friend drags them into a dangerous and obsessive world. 'A Room for Romeo Brass' is strong drama; witty, disturbing and touching.
