Plot

Whimsical black comedy from Robert Altman, who appears to be in the twilight of his talent. Set in small-town Mississippi, Glenn Close plays a fiery dragon who covers up the suicide of her Aunt Cookie, putting her lowly black handyman in the frame for murder. With the fate of Cookie's fortune hanging in the balance, the townsfolk of Holly Springs are plunged into their first murder investigation, and more excitement than they've ever known.
