Plot

Screen version of Ketron's play "The Trading Post", with Sam Shepard and Diane Keaton as the would-be lovers who never quite get their act together, settling instead for the safety of loneliness. Years later, their respective children (Diane Lane and Robert Patrick), also fall in love, but then proceed to subject themselves to the same fannying around as their parents.
