High-octane sci-fi actioner, based on the "Dark Horse" comics series. A high-tech Russian research ship is zapped by a huge crackling ball of electrical energy, transmitted via the Mir space station. When the crew of a storm-ravaged salvage vessel climb aboard, the ship is deserted, save for a hysterical Russian scientist (Joanna Pacula) who claims an alien force has killed the crew and taken over the ship. This is the cue for Jamie Lee Curtis, William Baldwin and a drunken Donald Sutherland to start frantically running through the darkened corridors of the boat, hotly pursued by murderous cyborgs. Undemanding and very noisy.
