Plot
Paul Schrader (Raging Bull, Taxi Driver) directs this angry and bitter film with a powerful performance from Nick Nolte as a divorced small town sheriff fearing that the cruel traits of his father are rubbing off on him. Set in the cold snowy New Hampshire landscape this is an intelligent and complex film exploring the dark side of human nature.
