Plot

An allegedly streetwise thriller which fancies itself as "Shaft" but ends up more like a seedier version of "Showgirls". (Yes, really). Leading lady Lisa Raye is a single mum at college, making ends meet by night in a seedy strip joint, with writer/director/star Ice Cube providing the gangsta element and the soundtrack. Suffice to say that "Subtle" ain't Mr Cube's middle name.
