Misguided attempt to recreate the bickering buddies' old magic, 30 years on. The ranting wrinklies are heading for California where, to their mutual distaste, Oscar's son is marrying Felix's daughter. Naturally, nothing goes smoothly, giving them plenty of scope for sniping away at each other like, well, a couple of grumpy old men. Matthau and Lemmon can always light up the screen, but a decent plot and a few surprises wouldn't have gone amiss.
