Plot
Noirish crime caper set in '60's L.A, with James Caan as newlywed private eye Philip Marlowe. Relocating to the backwater town of Poodle Springs after marrying the daughter of a billionaire, Marlowe soon begins to suspect that his new father-in-law may be involved in a sinister plan to shift the Nevada border. One investigator has already been killed, and Marlowe could well be next as his probing unearths a tangled web of deceit, pornography and murder.
