THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY (1998)

BOBBY FARRELLYPETER FARRELLY

Plot

A brilliant, bawdy little belter with a real feelgood factor from the creators of "Dumb and Dumber". Nice-but-nerdy Ted (Ben Stiller) has never gotten over his prom night date-that-never-was (a sadistically, excruciatingly funny scene), and thirteen years later the memory of the lovely Mary (Cameron Diaz) is like an itch that just won't go away, and so he vows to track her down. Unfortunately, the investigator he hires to find her (a splendidly slimy Matt Dillon) turns out to be the guy who put the "dick" in "private", and on finding the still gorgeous Mary, decides he wants to keep her all to himself. Plus there's a crippled Lee Evans on the sniff...... A crude, politically-incorrect comedy in which nothing is sacred, and thank God for that.
