Plot

Soulful Sunday lunch saga set in modern-day Chicago. Mother Joe keeps her family together with her hearty home-cooked feasts, presiding over three daughters, their husbands and assorted kids, while batty, bed-bound Uncle Pete hasn't been downstairs in ten years. When Mother is hospitalised and put permanently out of action, her grandson, the adorable Ahmed, takes over her role. An unashamedly sentimental, old fashioned movie.
