It's 1954 and shy-guy Sonny Burns (Jeremy Davis) is on his way home from the Korean War when he meets bold, brash "Gunner" Caselman (Ben Affleck). Their shared experiences have left them restless, and loathe to return to the old routine, so the two hit the road looking for new thrills in the shape of hard liquor and fast women. Amiably inconsequential easy-watching.
