Plot

Over-crowded disaster drama, revolving around a motley assortment of characters attempting to sort out their domestic strife whilst waiting for an Earth-bound meteor to flatten them. Space boffins are caught on the hop when a schoolboy spots the impending Armageddon, but Washington decides to keep it quiet, until a TV reporter from a dysfunctional family breaks the bad news. After that, the world's fate is in the hands of a team of astronauts, led by Robert Duvall, who head off into space to do lots of bonding. You have been warned.
