It's two weeks until Election Day, the President of the U.S of A has been caught with his pants down (Heaven forbid), and drastic measures are called for. So edgy White House aide Anne Heche summons spin doctor Robert De Niro, who conjures up a cunning plan to deflect public and media interest. Suddenly, the citizens of America find themselves in the middle of a fictitious war with Albania, while its orchestrators get increasingly carried away, to the extent of penning a morale-boosting charity song in the name of the cause. Pensive political comedy, semi-scripted by David Mamet.
