Matt Damon plays a wet-behind-the-ears rookie lawyer who ekes out a living working for mucky Mickey Rourke, before teaming up with Danny DeVito. The pair's first big break comes with the seemingly unwinnable case of a sick young man whose chance of a cure has been scuppered by a giant insurance company's refusal to pay out.
