Plot

Another movie about a movie from "Living in Oblivion" director Tom DiCillo. Matthew Modine plays a wannabe actor who finally lands a part in a Madonna video, while, sickeningly, his best mate bags a plum role in a Dynasty-style soap opera. Continuing to ponce off long-suffering girlfriend Catherine Keener, Modine falls for Madonna's body double Elizabeth Berkeley (Showgirls) the not-so "real blonde" of the title. Lower-key than "Oblivion" but still a quirkily enjoyable comedy drama.
