Fascinating futuristic yarn set in a world that's finally cracked genetic engineering. Only the perfect are rewarded with social acceptance, with the un-improved branded as in-valids. But aspiring astronaut Ethan Hawke is not about to be held back by his "imperfections", so, borrowing the genes of the enhanced but wheelchair-bound Jude Law, he cons his way into a job at the gigantic Gattaca corporation. His ensuing affair with the immaculate Uma Thurman, however, triggers a desperate race to avoid detection. Thought-provoking stuff.
