Adaptation of Michael Crichton's sinister, submerged spaceship sci-fi novel. Hoffman and Jackson are the mismatched eggheads sent down to investigate the 400 year old craft, joined by barking mad biochemist Sharon Stone, who just happens to be Hoffman's ex-squeeze. Trapped beneath the Pacific Ocean by a handy storm, the tension rises amongst the bickering boffins while they're terrorised by a big golden spaceball. An intriguing plot encumbered by cringey cliches and dodgy FX. Think "Abyss Horizon" and you're almost there.
