Plot
Brooding tale of smouldering sexual awakening, dark family secrets and forbidden passion. Phoenix and Crudup play two quietly frustrated brothers, mercilessly taunted by the three self-assured, superior and deeply desirable sisters next door. Kathy Baker's touching portrayal of an over-protective mum lightens up the proceedings slightly, and there are well-honed performances from all of the young cast, but the storyline could do with a lot more ooomph.
