An epic, made-for-TV adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel. Anthony Calf plays young Pip, whose life is changed forever after a chance meeting with escaped convict Magwitch. Working for the mysterious Miss Haversham at the grandest house in the district, Pip becomes entranced by her beautiful but cruel niece Estella, who steals his heart then tosses it aside. But Pip becomes the beneficiary of an anonymous, immensely wealthy patron, enabling him to move to London and begin to realise his dreams. Continued on tape no. 7209.
