Plot
Director Michael Winterbottom based this on the real life experiences of Michael Nicholson, an ITN reporter covering life under seige in Sarajevo, who became so involved that he smuggled a desperate orphan back to the UK. The film both graphically depicts the horrors of war and the humanity of the people living there.
