Plot

A debut feature from New Zealand writer-director Anna Campion. A group of attractive British twenty-somethings hole up in a country house for the weekend to shoot a horror movie. Pleasingly for the viewer, this proves to be far from a piece of cake, and so the assembled crew spend a lot of time talking about their problems. But after dropping some acid to get the creative juices flowing, as you do, events start to take a more sinister turn, with their collective trip being brought to an abrupt halt by a graveyard scene straight out of their movie. An intriguing mixture of rites of passage drama and Hammer horror.
