OK, so us 21st Century cynics expect to be lied to, but this real life scandal took place back when people were still looking for Reds under the bed. Fiennes plays the naive, charismatic contestant catapulted to game-show stardom by ratings-hungry execs, while the 'real' champ is ruthlessly dumped. Excellent.
