A witty, whimsical western which uses Eastwood's tongue-in-cheek posturing to good effect, as he chivalrously attempts to protect the dubious honour of Sister Sara (Maclaine) who is in fact a whore masquerading as a nun. Pistol-packin' cowboys, Mexican revolutionaries and drunken bandits abound.
