Brilliant adaptation of the original story by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Everything you would expect from a modern version including the wonderfully portrayed story of his childhood among the apes and his confused existence as a`member of the British aristocracy. Beautifully filmed with a ripping performance from Ralph Richardson, the last before his death. Excellent.
