A young girl turns up at her new ballet school only to undergo a series of experiences not in the normal choreographer's manual. Extraordinarily grotesque murders pile up as Argento happily abandons plot mechanics to provide a superb display of his technical skill with an eye for the bizarre and for vulgar over-decoration.
