An almost Shakesperian comedy of errors, the first of Rohmer's six 'Comedies et Proverbes'. It centres on the faintly pathetic efforts of a young student to tail his older girlfriend in an effort to uncover her supposed affair. Funny and yet faintly tragic. Paris never looked finer.
