In a Hollywood hotel a star studded cast spend respective sleepless nights in this quick and varied comedy from Neil Simon. The four sketches range from out-and-out banana peel slapstick (Cosby and Pryor), classic interplay between Michael Caine and Maggie Smith to a bedroom farce of epic proportions from Matthau and May, but Fonda provides the film with its centre, giving another performance of unnerving sureness.
