Plot

Lance Clayton is struggling: a failed writer, whose frustrations manifest in his relationship with his son Kyle - played brilliantly by Daryl Sabara. When tragedy strikes Lance is unwittingly, at first, presented with the opportunity to grasp all he ever wanted. There's nothing new here, but that doesn't mean that the catalogue of parodied American high school cliches aren't done well.
