Set in the stunning southern peninsula of Greece, and 18 years past their first meeting , ‘Before Midnight’ still sees the combative but impassioned Jesse and Celine over analysing themselves; only now there is the bitter tinge of disillusionment and frustration borne of familiarity, emotional complacency, unachieved dreams, oh and two seen but not heard angelic children. One part ‘nail on the head’ dialogue to two parts ‘how could two soo self-absorbed people still know so little about each other after so much time together?’ Before Midnight is, well, the next stage in a relationship that beguiles you…..or infuriates you.
