To Rome With Love sees Woody Allen back in front of, as well as behind the camera for the first time since 2006, heading up one of the collection of interlinking tales, set in a picture post card Rome. After the delightful if inconsequential “Midnight in Paris” this is a bit of a disappointment; too many stories; too many characters and not enough flesh on the bones of any of them. Still, the Vatican City looks glorious.... which is more than can be said for the machinations within it.
