A dark stylised re-working of the classic ‘Snow White and the Severn Dwarfs’ that goes much more firmly for the action adventure angle. A bit slow, rather too long, slightly generic and pretty uninspiringly acted by the two leads, especially Kristen Stewart (“fairest in the land”....really? I mean it is “the land”, not just 'the pub'). Having said which, for the cusp of, and pre-teen market this an enjoyable enough slice of 'Twilight'-esque escapism.
