IN TIME (2011)

Plot
Lucy Fife Donaldson says: "In the future time IS money. It’s 2161 andbecause people stop aging at 25, extra time must be worked for or bought, andsociety is dramatically polarized between rich and poor who live in differenttime zones (if you want to visit the fancy areas you have to pay with a monthor year). Justin Timberlake is a factory worker from the ghetto, AmandaSeyfried is a rich girl, thrown together when Timberlake is given over 100years by a man he saves from a gang (the ‘minutemen’). What follows is partconspiracy thriller, part chase movie. This isn’t as fun as it should be, as itsuffers from a rather overcomplicated premise, which sounds more interestingand significant than it is, and a lack of things for Timberlake and Seyfried todo other than run around looking beautiful. Seyfried suffers particularly, thefilm content to keep her as a pretty doll and not much more. Despite theirindividual charisma, they have limited chemistry or emotional depth ofcharacter, and as a result the film is playing at the shallow end of dystopiansci-fi."
