Tom, an American doctor, comes to France to collect the remains of his adult son, killed in the Pyrenees in a storm while walking The Camino de Santiago, Driven by his profound sadness, the father decides to embark on the historical pilgrimage himself, armed only with his son's backpack and guidebook. Tom soon discovers it will not be the solitary trek he had hoped for, collecting along the way a group of equally broken souls all looking for meaning in their life. Filmed entirely on location in France and Spain, The Way certainly looks good.
