Neil McCormick always knew he’d be famous. A teenage Irish songwriter and budding genius, nothing less than a life of rock n’ roll stardom will do. But...and its a big one, nobody can choose a better moment to take the wrong path at an inadvisable time than Neil...fuelled too often by his pride. When the other school band becomes ‘U2’ Neil is consumed with jealously, a feeling that is in danger of ruining not just him but also his much loved brother and fellow band member. Funny and poignant ‘Killing Bono’ is reminiscent of ‘Withnail and I’, nowhere near as sublime, but charmingly idiosyncratic nonetheless.
