Plot
Six-time Grammy Award winner Kelly Canter has a fling with an admiring orderly, Beau, an aspiring singer/songwriter himself. Back on tour, with Beau in tow and under the watchful eye but ambitiously pushy control of her manager/husband James, Kellys life begins to fall apart again. Can Kelly be saved or can she perhaps save herself? Country Strong is an intelligent and nicely performed drama, but it never really breaks away from its slightly saccharine overtones, which is a slight shame for all.
