Plot

Two English sci-fi geeks, Graham and Clive, make a pilgrimage to America’s UFO heartland. While there, they bump into Paul, a cocky, streetwise alien, who’s been hanging out at a top-secret military base for the last half-century, and who has suddenly decided to take a road trip. Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. ‘Paul’ is a likeable comedy adventure but, unlike Pegg and Frost’s collaborations with director Edgar Wright, this doesn’t stick in the memory for very long.
