Arthur Bishop is the 'mechanic' a gifted killer whose only emotional attachment is to his mentor, friend and handler, Harry. After Harry's death he sets out to tutor Harry’s estranged son, Steve, in the trade. ‘The Mechanic’ is a slick, hollow, action thriller lifted a wee bit by Mr “this is what I do” Statham and is a remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson film of the same name.
