When Britt Reids zillionaire publishing father dies his consumptive slacker lifestyle loses some of its edge, but, when he hooks up with gadget wiz and martial arts master Kato, he finally finds a purpose as the Green Hornet, scourge of LAs criminal underworld. 'The Green Hornet' is a surprisingly lacklustre action comedy, despite Gondrys direction, though Christoph Waltz as the insecure arch villain is a comic joy. It does the business, I just hoped it would be a little less jobsworth.
