Under police guard in hospital, Lisbeth Salander is charged with murder and awaits the trial that has the country gripped. Cut off from all communication with the outside world, she must rely on Mikael Blomkvist to prove her innocence, but he is blocked at every turn as the corruption grows ever more insidious and labyrinth. The Girl who kicked the Hornets Nest is the conclusion to the trilogy and though it lacks the punch of the first film it satisfyingly brings the tale to its conclusion.
