Still grieving the death of their only child, Alice, a young couple relocate to the remote Irish town of Wake Wood where they stumble on a group of villagers practising Pagan rituals. The Grieving parents discover this ritual has the power to bring back the dead, and would enable them to once again see their beloved daughter, but what might the darker consequences be? Wake Wood is an effective amalgamation of some of the best of 70’s British horror, in particular ‘Don’t Look Now’ and ‘The Wicker Man’. A promising return for the iconic ‘Hammer horror’ label.
